Christ United Methodist Church was founded in October of 1985 from the former congregation of the Lake In The Hills UMC. The new congregation met in the Crystal Lake High School band room. As we grew, we moved to the High School auditorium and then to our own building.  On November 22, 1998, we held the first worship service in our new 7,500 sq ft. multi-purpose facility located on an 8-acre site at 9009 Algonquin Rd., just west of Square Barn Road.
